Batam Spas

At 1130am, we headed out from hotel in Batam to hunt for a place for lunch. Without a map or a direction, we just walked out and looked for any shopping malls in the area. In less than 5 minutes, we found TOP 100 Shopping Mall, Batam. The shopping mall has very few shops and only two restaurants and a cafe in it.  We  were getting a bit hungry and wanted to settle down and have a meal. The little options we had,  so we settled for Esteller a safer bet as we knew that it is also available in Singapore.

Our lunch at Esteller Batam was somewhat disappointing and unsatisfying. We ordered mie rebus, nasi goreng and a couple more items. The food was super salty and the drinks were very sweet. We found it very extreme. We are not very sure if that is the norm there in Batam. But it just was not to our liking.

After the lunch, we had time to spare before we head for our spa treat. We had pre-booked our spa appointment as that was our main itinerary for the trip to Batam. So, we spent a bit of time walking in the mall, we did spot a nice shoe shop. Unfortunately, the prices were just totally unreasonably. In the end, we left without any purchased. We did get a taste of some really good local kuihs. We wanted to purchase more but we just did not feel like carrying the food stuff to our spa treatment.

1238pm, we managed to grab a taxi and head for our spa treatment.

1245pm, we arrived at Win's Spa. A spa which came recommended on www.virtualtourist.com. I did hunt down the spa from googling the shop and its contact..I must say it was worthwhile to do that. I managed to secure the spa treatment timeslot by calling them ahead of time. It's definitely not advisable to just walk in the spa without a booking.

At 1pm (our appointment time), we were led to our rooms. They have couple rooms and single rooms. We were welcomed with a warm smile from our therapists. It was a dimlit room but nicely decorated.

We all took the Dewi Sri Treatment which consists of a full hour massage, body scrub, body mask, sauna, bubble bath and luhur treatment for only Rp. 357,000 (without tax). It was definitely worth every cent. At the end of our treatment, all four of us concluded that the massage was just too good to pass. We highly recommend this place. Their massage skills are just amazingly good.

Three of us decided we wanted to do our hair as well. Ah yes! the spa has a hair salon as well. I must say, I'm not too impressed with the hair stylist for cutting hair. But for hair colouring and hair spa treatment, those look better.

We ended our spa treatment with a happy smile on our faces. We are definitely going there again!
